Hockey Reyes

Real Club de Polo de Barcelona welcomes the new year with the traditional International Hockey Reyes Tournament. Taking advantage of the downtime in the main European hockey leagues, the best state and international clubs compete with host players. The roster is made up of leading teams from all over the world as well as teams of the highest standard from the Spanish league. Over the course four intense days, the installations of this renowned hundred-year-old organization will host over 40 matches in senior, junior, and veteran categories, will offer spectacular and exciting matches. Interested members of the public may attend the competition free of charge. The event will have parallel activities along with a hospitality area and an interesting commercial village.

Barcelona Polo Challenge Negrita Cup

Real Club de Polo de Barcelona hosts the Torneo Internacional de Polo – Barcelona Polo Challenge  Negrita Cup. Three daily matches (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) will match up eight 8 to 10 handicapped teams made up of players from all over the world. Polo is an exciting team sport in which the harmony between players and their horses is the key to success. The polo player’s technique and skill are combined with the power and quality of the horse. Polo is one of the oldest sports in history and is played by two teams of four players whose objective is to score the highest number of goals on a field measuring 250 m long by 150 m wide.

Barcelona Polo Challenge Negrita Cup is a great opportunity to experience this spectacular sport in person. Grandstands wrapping all the way around the polo field, complete with bar and restaurant service and two terraces, give the audience a comfortable environment in which to enjoy the competition. Real Club de Polo de Barcelona extends a limited number of invitations to those who are interested, which you can request by calling its offices starting in April. An inviting commercial village frames this thorough setup.

The Barcelona Polo Challenge Negrita Cup is part of Barcelona Equestrian Challenge, an ambitious project supported by Barcelona City Council and Real Club de Polo de Barcelona whose main purpose is the social promotion of the equestrian world.

Internacionales de Padel de Catalunya

The facilities of Real Club de Polo de Barcelona will host the next Internacionales de Pádel de Cataluña. Over the course of a week, the best padel players in the world will compete to be proclaimed champions of an event that has established itself as the most important of those held in Catalan territory. Various pairs in both the men’s and the women’s categories will compete the entire week in order to play each other in the final. Because of the great success of previous years, the stands continue to reach their capacity and were practically full every day of last year’s competition. Attendees can watch all the matches live and enjoy a lively village where they can shop, drink, and eat.

ITF Barcelona Seniors Championship - International Tennis Tournament

Real Club de Polo de Barcelona has managed to host the best ITF senior tournament on the peninsula at its facilities. More than 450 people have registered across the senior categories (players between 35 and 85 years of age), guaranteeing a high-level Grade A tournament, the International Tennis Federation’s highest. Athletically, the spirit of the tournament continues to be the mixture of amateur club tennis with tennis on a high international level, bringing together both Club players and former Davis Cup players from various countries, world championships, European championships, and current Spanish championships.

Due to the tournament’s massive growth in recent years, we are proud to announce that this year’s event is the most international of them all, expanding the list of foreign players confirming their attendance from all over the world: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, and the United States.

CSIO Barcelona - International Jumping Competition

For the seventh year in a row, CSIO Barcelona will host the Longines  FEI Jumping Nations Cup Final, the most important international jumping competition and the one with the largest endowment in history. Over four days, a total of eight competitions, five of them individual, will be held on Real Club de Polo’s Olympic arena, including the Cup of the City of Barcelona and the Copa de SM la Reina-Trofeu Segura Viudas, in addition to the three Nations Cup rounds. A total of 18 countries represented by 80 riders with 170 horses guarantee a sporting event of the highest standard.

CSIO Barcelona also features various appealing activities such as the original equestrian exhibitions, the traditional gala dinners presenting on Friday and Saturday the night classes and, one more edition, the magnificent PoloPark with more than 20,000 square meters dedicated to family leisure. CSIO Barcelona 2019 is part of the activities program of the Barcelona Equestrian Challenge, an ambitious project supported by Barcelona City Council and Real Club de Polo de Barcelona that aims to bring the equestrian world closer to the general public.

BECH – Barcelona Equestrian Challenge

Barcelona Equestrian Challenge (BECH), an ambitious project to promote the equestrian world in our city, is a reality. Thanks to the initiative sponsored by Barcelona City Council and Real Club de Polo de Barcelona, the city became the capital of the equestrian world in 2013 until 2021. The horse approach Barcelona, showing off its friendliest side, unknown to most people until now. Barcelona City Council and Real Club de Polo have collaborated for many months, with intensity and rigor, to develop a unique project with the highest international standards that integrates social promotion of the equestrian world, equestrian sports, and sports values. Therefore, the Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Competitiveness deemed it an Event of Exceptional Public Interest at the end of 2012.

BECH integrates various sports, cultural, and social activities related to the equestrian world. All of these efforts have an important economic impact on Barcelona, generating illusion and strengthening the international impact on our city. 

This large international event is structured around four axes: sport, education, health, and culture.
